Professor Israel Kaffe – Dean - School of Dental Medicine Tel Aviv University
Prof Kaffe graduated the school of Dental Medicine of the Hebrew University and Hadassah in Jerusalem in the year 1970 and joined the staff of Tel Aviv University in 1975. Since then he is deeply involved in teaching and research in the field of Oral Radiology, Oral Medicine and Oral Pathology and received world wide reputation in these areas. Prof Kaffe was promoted to the degree of full professor in 1996. He published more that a 110 scientific publications, chapters in books and serves as an editorial board member of prestigious international scientific Journals in the field of Oral Radiology. Prof Kaffe is also involved in important social activity in the field of dentistry in the community, in the Israel Dental Association, and in international professional organizations such as the FDI and International Assoc. for Dentomaxillofacial Radiology. Prof Israel Kaffe is head of the school of Dental Medicine - Tel Aviv University starting Sept 1st 2001.

Professor Haim Tal is the Head of the Department of Periodontology, the incumbent of the Gerald A Niznick Chair of Implant Dentistry, and former Dean of Tel Aviv University School of Dental Medicine. Prof. Tal graduated from Hadassah Scool of Dental Medicine at the Hebrew University, Jerusalem. He took specialty training in Periodontics and Oral Medicine at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, where he also received the degrees M.Dent. and PhD. in Physical Anthropology. He is the recepient of the 1984 annual honorary fellowship of the American Academy of Oral Medicine and Doctor Honoris Causa from the University of Bukarest. Prof. Tal published over 200 articles and abstracts and lectured world wide in the fields of Periodontal Wound Healing, Oral Cryosurgery and Implant Dentistry.

Adam STABHOLZ, DMD
Dr. Stabholz graduated from the Hebrew University-Hadassah School of Dental Medicine founded by the Alpha Omega Fraternity in 1974 and in 1978, he completed the graduate program in Endodontics at the University of Pennsylvania,
In 1988, he was appointed Head of the Department of Endodontics at the Hebrew University-Hadassah School of Dental Medicine, a position he has held ever since.
In 1993, he was elected Dean of the Hebrew University-Hadassah School of Dental and in 1996, he was re-elected as Dean for a second, consecutive three years term. In this year, he was also promoted to the rank of full professor in Endodontics.
He was awarded honorary degrees from the University of Bucharest and the University of Buenos Aires and the Certificate of Merit of the Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity .He received from the Israel Dental Association the highest award for outstanding contribution to the dental profession in Israel.
Dr. Stabholz has published extensively in the dental literature, is the author of several chapters in endodontic textbooks and has lectured at many international dental meetings. His current research in focused on the application of lasers in dentistry.
Currently he serves as President of IFEA (the International Federation of Endodontic Associations) and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity.

Professor Jonathan Mann was born in Jerusalem, to an eighth generation Israeli family. He served in the Israel Defense Forces during the years 1967-70 reaching the rank of Major. In 1976 he was awarded the D.M.D. degree from the Hebrew University-Hadassah School of Dental Medicine Founded by the Alpha Omega Fraternity, which is the first Dental School founded in Israel in 1953 in Jerusalem.
Prof. Mann’s main involvement with Alpha Omega is fully expressed through his intensive involvement in the Dental School and his active participation in international conventions.
Between 1976 and 1978, Prof. Mann divided his time between the departments of Community Dentistry and Periodontology. In 1978 he was sent to the University of Pennsylvania where he obtained, after two years, a M.Sc. degree in Epidemiology. In 1980 he became a full-time academic staff member of the Department of Community Dentistry, and in 1990 he was appointed chairman of the department. He is a full professor in the Department of Community Dentistry since 1996.
Always active in all major faculty committees, Professor Mann was chairman of the committees for Continuing Education, Curriculum and Alumni. He was the School's first Director of Clinics. In 1999 Prof. Mann was elected Dean of the Faculty for a term of three years and re-elected for another three year term in 2002.
He spent almost two years, in 1986 and 1991, at the University of Colorado, and later a short sabbatical in Australia and Thailand, learning of their expertise in teaching and research.
Prof. Mann is very active in community projects. During the major wave of aliyah from the Former Soviet Union, he was instrumental in the organization of training programs in dentistry in the frame of the department of Community Dentistry, and continued to take an active role in the absorption of immigrants from Ethiopia. He is a member of the presidium of "Yad Sarah".
Professor Mann is married to Tova, has four daughters, and is the proud grandfather of three granddaughters.

Cet après- midi de conférences se poursuivra par le dîner de gala au casino le Lyon Vert où 180 personnes seront présentes. Nous remercions particulièrement la participation de nos fidèles amis , confrères , partenaires qui ont répondu présents et qui soutiennent ainsi l'équipe du Chapitre Rhône Alpes depuis maintenant plus de 10 ans.

qui se terminera par la traditionnelle tombola de soutien aux Universités de Tel Aviv et Jérusalem et c'est près de 30 000 Euros qui seront réunis .
Mission accomplie pour le bureau Rhône-Alpes dopé une fois de plus par le dynamisme , le dévouement et le charisme de son Président.
